The Mindanao Economic Development Council commends the Save Davao Gulf Foundation Incorporated for coming up with an interdisciplinary, intercultural, multi-media and multi-lingual festival of the arts in commemoration with the YEAR OF THE OCEAN.

We laud the organizers for taking up the cudgels for the environment, as we believe the festival will be a way forward for our artists to take a more proactive role in promoting the green movement and contributing to the well being of our planet.

Economic progress cannot be fully achieved without proper management of our natural resources. May this activity awaken the hearts and minds of people, that we must react accordingly in face of all these environmental issues.
